2023 was an outstanding year for Loch Lomond Whiskies. Reinforcing our success in being the Most Awarded Distillery at San Francisco World Spirits Competition, we won another two awards before the end of the year.
Following a rigorous voting process including several blind tastings, our Loch Lomond 18 Year Old has been named The Whisky Exchange's Whisky of the Year! It saw off stiff competition to be voted number one by a combination of both drinks-industry experts and members of the public.
It's fantastic recognition for this complex dram that shows our versatile distillery's versatile character. Matured in three types of American oak casks for at least 18 years, this full-bodied and fruity dram is bursting with mouth-watering baked apples, toffee, and gooseberries.
And, not only that, but our delightfully fruit-driven 14 Year Old has been awarded Whisky of the Year by members of The Whisky Shop's W Club.
Crafted using a combination of spirit from our unique straight neck pot stills and more traditional swan neck stills, it is matured in American Oak with a finishing period in French Limousin Oak casks.
